A BAFTA, Grammy, and Sundance award-winning writer and experienced entertainment executive, Wale’s career has spanned diverse roles as a performing artist, talent manager and screenwriter. His writing anchors some of Fatherland's most defining work. He co-wrote and produced Lizard, the first Nigerian short to win at Sundance, and My Father's Shadow, the first Nigerian feature to screen in Cannes' official selection. With a background in finance and a sharp instinct for narrative, Wale has directed and produced over 30 visual projects across fashion, music, and global brands.

A Sundance-winning producer and BAFTA nominee with a decade of experience, she was the first Nigerian woman to produce a film officially selected at the Cannes Film Festival, where My Father’s Shadow received a Caméra d’Or Special Mention. With a background in law, Funmbi is focused on building the ecosystem behind the screen, nurturing homegrown talent and architecting new possibilities for Africa’s creative industries.

Akinola Davies Jr. is a BAFTA and Gotham Award-winning filmmaker, visual artist, and creative director whose work explores identity, community, and the diaspora through a blend of documentary and fiction. He has created striking visuals for artists like Kokoroko and Blood Orange and his work has been showcased at Tate Modern, ICA London, MoMA PS1, and festivals worldwide. In fashion, Akinola has worked with notable brands such as Gucci, Acne Studios, COS, Kenzo and Louis Vuitton.
Akinola's most recent film ‘My Father’s Shadow’ premiered at Cannes Film Festival, winning the Camera d’Or Special Mention. It also won a BAFTA, two Gotham Awards, a BIFA and festival jury prizes across the world. It was the U.K.’s submission for Best International Feature for the 2026 Oscars.
